Forming Faith at Home
A Class for Leaders and Parents
How to Use This Module
In this module, Pastor Josh Johnson gives a talk titled Forming Faith at Home. The talk is divided into four short teaching segments, with one segment beginning each session. After each teaching segment, you will watch a corresponding panel conversation.
The panel conversations build on the teaching as parents and ministry leaders process ideas together and share examples from their own lives and churches. As you listen, you will hear diverse perspectives and experiences that remind us that discipleship is not a formula. Faithful discipleship takes shape in the ordinary rhythms of life as we follow Christ together and learn from one another.
Watch one video at a time, then pause for conversation. The questions are not intended solely for review but to help you reflect, learn from one another, and consider how these ideas might shape the rhythms of your home and church.
This module is best experienced with others. Consider working through it with a Sunday school class, small group, ministry team, session, or parent group. Although parents are the primary audience, we highly recommend including pastors, session members, and ministry leaders. Their participation reinforces an important truth explored throughout this module: parents are the primary disciplers of their children, but they are not called to disciple them alone. The church has a vital role in supporting, equipping, and walking alongside them.
Choose the questions that are most helpful for your group and allow time for meaningful conversation.
